Metagenomics

Phase 5: raw shotgun-metagenomic samples are owned entirely by this node; taxonomic and functional-pathway profiling runs locally. Only the resulting profile syncs upward — see node.metagenomics.

Register a raw metagenomic sample

Raw shotgun reads stay on this node by default — only the taxonomic/functional profile below (after running profiling) syncs to the federation automatically. See node.metagenomics. The raw reads themselves can still be shared with the Hub on request via Transfers.
